01 — What we do

Five service lines, one technical owner from kickoff to production

Applied AI and automation

AI that works with your company data, with evaluations, guardrails, and an audit trail for what the model does.

What we deliver

  • Knowledge assistants over your documents (RAG with hybrid search)
  • Agents for internal workflows: triage, extraction, and classification
  • Data pipelines that feed models and operational dashboards
  • LLM evaluations, guardrails, and production observability

Systems integration and APIs

Make the systems you already use work together, with queues, retries, and reconciliation for when the other side fails.

What we deliver

  • ERP, payment gateways, Pix, electronic invoicing, and business platforms
  • REST APIs and legacy SOAP services with anti-corruption layers
  • Queues, retry strategy, and idempotency for critical operations
  • Scheduled reconciliation and alerts when systems drift out of sync

Custom software development

The system your operation actually needs when off-the-shelf software is not enough, built to last and to be maintainable by another team later.

What we deliver

  • APIs and microservices with Java/Spring Boot, Go, PHP, and Node.js
  • Business portals and admin dashboards with Angular
  • ERP, payments, invoicing, and web-service integrations
  • Access control, auditing, and complex business rules

Web, SEO, and digital presence

Fast websites and storefronts that can be found, measured, and built to turn traffic into qualified conversations.

What we deliver

  • Corporate websites and landing pages in PHP
  • Technical SEO, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
  • E-commerce, checkout, and payment integrations
  • Analytics, Search Console, and conversion tracking

Cloud, DevOps, and legacy support

From deployment pipelines to the legacy system nobody wants to touch. If it is live and needs to stay live, this is the work.

What we deliver

  • CI/CD with GitLab and GitHub Actions, containers, and environments
  • Observability, alerting, and incident response
  • Architecture and cost reviews across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Legacy maintenance in Java, PHP, and .NET

02 — How we work

Every project follows the same path: from problem to production, with scope and success metrics before the first line of code

  1. 01

Discovery call 30 minutes · free

A focused conversation to understand the problem, the systems involved, and what already exists. No sales pitch in the middle of it.

You get Scope, risks, and a realistic estimate

  2. 02

Proof of concept 2 to 4 weeks

The smallest version that proves value: one workflow, one integration, or an assistant running against your real data.

You get A working prototype with your real data

  3. 03

    Production based on scope

The proof becomes a production system with testing, security, deployment automation, and telemetry. Nothing ships without measurable quality criteria.

You get A live, documented, and monitored system

  4. 04

    Ongoing operation monthly plan

Monitoring, data-driven improvements, and fast response when something changes, including older systems that still run the business.

You get Continuous improvement and same-business-day response

04 — Who owns the work

Micael Santana — founder and senior software engineer at Paradox Technology

Micael Santana

Founder · Senior Software Engineer

Twelve years building software that real operations depend on: data platforms at BNDES, product work at SAP, automotive engineering at Mercedes-Benz AG, and large-scale operations at T-Systems. Paradox exists to bring that engineering standard to companies that need senior ownership without staffing an entire in-house team.

  • Java, Spring Boot, Go, PHP, and Angular in production
  • Microservices architecture and critical integrations
  • Applied AI: RAG, agents, and data pipelines
  • CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud platforms

For larger projects, specialists can be brought in for specific technologies as needed. Technical ownership and coordination remain with the founder.

05 — Support plans

What it costs to keep senior engineering within reach

Maintenance and support rates. New projects are scoped and priced by deliverable after discovery.

On demand

For a fix, adjustment, review, or one-off request without a monthly commitment.

starting atR$ 250/hour

  • 1-hour minimum per request
  • 1 system or scope per ticket
  • Business-hours support
  • Technology subject to technical review
  • Estimate approved before work starts
  • No long-term commitment

Best for isolated incidents and improvements. If demand grows, a monthly plan lowers the effective hourly cost and gets priority handling.

Most popular

Ongoing

For production systems that need recurring improvements, maintenance, and support.

starting atR$ 1,125/month

  • 5 non-rollover hours per month
  • Up to 3 pre-registered systems or services
  • Technology subject to technical validation
  • Business-hours support
  • Priority over on-demand requests
  • 30-minute minimum billing increment
  • 10% discount on annual plans

Additional hours: R$ 250/hour, performed only after your approval. Covered systems and support channels are defined in the proposal.

Critical

For operations where downtime means lost revenue, customers, or core business activity.

starting atR$ 2,500/month

  • 10 non-rollover hours per month
  • Multiple systems in the same operation, within the agreed scope
  • Technology subject to technical validation
  • 24/7 emergency channel for critical P1 incidents
  • Highest response priority
  • Response SLA defined in the proposal
  • 30-minute minimum billing increment
  • 10% discount on annual plans

24/7 means an emergency escalation channel for critical incidents, not unlimited engineering hours. Additional hours: R$ 300/hour with prior approval.

How it works: monthly hours do not roll over. Additional hours are only worked after approval. Covered systems, incident severity, channels, and SLA are documented in the proposal and contract. Fixed-scope projects are still priced around scope, timeline, and deliverables.

06 — Frequently asked questions

What teams usually ask before moving forward

How much does a custom software project cost?

New projects are priced around a defined deliverable after the free 30-minute discovery call. Without scope, any number would be guesswork. Maintenance and support follow the published rates: R$ 250/hour on demand or monthly plans starting at R$ 1,125.

Do you work with companies outside Blumenau or Brazil?

Yes. Paradox Technology is based in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, and works remotely. Brazilian clients are served nationwide, and international projects can be handled remotely in English.

Can you take over a system built by another team?

Yes. That is a common engagement. We start with a structured review of the codebase and infrastructure to map risk, technical debt, dependencies, and what needs to happen before changes are made.

How quickly do you respond?

On-demand and Ongoing plans operate during business hours and new contacts receive a response the same business day. Critical includes a 24/7 emergency channel for P1 incidents; the exact response SLA is defined in the proposal based on the operation.

How are monthly-plan hours counted?

Hours are contracted by month and do not roll over. Monthly plans use a 30-minute minimum increment, while on-demand work uses a 1-hour minimum. Time spent is tracked and reported.

What happens if we go over the monthly allowance?

Nothing is performed as a surprise charge. Ongoing additional hours are R$ 250/hour and Critical additional hours are R$ 300/hour. Extra work starts only after approval. If overages become routine, we revisit the plan.

What does 24/7 support mean in the Critical plan?

It means an emergency escalation channel for incidents that stop or materially threaten the operation. It does not mean unlimited work. Investigation and remediation time counts against the included hours, with overage billed at the plan rate. Covered systems, severities, and SLA are defined in the proposal and contract.

Do we own the source code and data?

Yes. Source code, repositories, and project access belong to the client from the first commit. Contracts include confidentiality terms, and personal data is handled under applicable privacy requirements, including Brazil's LGPD when relevant.

Is the AI work more than plugging in a chatbot?

Yes. Production AI work includes retrieval over company knowledge (RAG), agents for internal processes, response-quality evaluation, guardrails, and observability. A simpler off-the-shelf chatbot integration is still an option when that is the right tool.

Is there a minimum project size?

There is no minimum for on-demand support. For new projects, the discovery call determines whether the best next step is a short proof of concept, a monthly engagement, or a scoped delivery.
